In the first quarter of 2022, the carpooling and ridesharing sector in Slovakia saw notable activity across various leading apps. Here’s a closer look at the performance of the top 5 apps in this category, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Bolt: Request a Ride experienced a steady rise in weekly downloads, starting from around 1.8K in early January and peaking at approximately 4K by the end of March. The weekly active users showed some fluctuations, with numbers hovering between 50K to 70K throughout the quarter.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a consistent download rate, with weekly figures ranging from about 500 to 800. The active user base remained stable, fluctuating slightly around the 35K mark during the quarter.

BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus saw a gradual increase in weekly downloads, rising from roughly 400 in early January to over 600 by the end of March. Active users showed a positive trend as well, increasing from around 2K to nearly 2.5K over the same period.

Careem – rides, food & more experienced modest weekly downloads, generally between 150 to 270. The active user count grew steadily from about 400 to over 500 throughout the quarter.
